9, 12 or 24mm Recycled PET Fibre @ 2400-4800gsm density. Robust, light, no irritation, eco-friendly, washable, fade-resistant, fireproof.

SUSTAINABILITY:
PetFelt contains a minimum of 75% recycled polyester fibre (post-consumer, from PET bottle-flake), ensuring comparatively low embodied energy. Off-cuts and manufacturing waste are reused or recycled wherever possible. Uncontaminated panels can be recycled.

U-PROFILE (Solo):
The system enables effortless suspension of individual sound-absorbing beams using our convenient suspension kits fixed to CNC-cut mounting holes in the acoustic beam’s rear. It's ideal for challenging installations, retrofits, or where truly custom ceiling designs are needed.
V-PROFILE (Module):
The system can be broken into individual modules of 2400mm x 2400mm (or customised). Each module consists of two parallel lengths of our custom V-Profile - sold separately - and your allocated acoustic ceiling beams. Channel lengths can be customised or joined for longer runs, and baffle spacing is precut into each V-Profile for ease of installation.
PRINTING:
Create realistic finishes with our full‑colour printing option. Reproduce the look of timber grains with Woods, Marble veining or natural stone textures while retaining the acoustic performance and sustainability of PetFelt. Ideal for feature walls, ceilings and panels where aesthetics matter as much as function.

The entire system is suspended from the ceiling soffit using a simple, Grid-Profile and adjustable wire cable system. Ensure substrate is clean, dry, and dust-free prior to application.

A: Thickness and Profile. While standard baffles are single blades (usually 12-24mm thick), our Acoustic Beams are box-sections (e.g., 40mm, 50mm, or wider). This creates a three-dimensional, substantial look similar to a timber joist or glulam beam. The box structure also traps sound inside the hollow core, further enhancing low-frequency absorption compared to a thin blade. Beams can also be printed with any of our “Woods” selection, further enhancing the timber Beam effect.

A: They are hollow. We fabricate them from rigid 9mm or 12mm PetFelt folded into a U-shape or box profile. This makes them extremely lightweight—approximately 80% lighter than a comparable solid timber beam. This means they can be retrofitted onto standard suspended ceiling grids without needing heavy structural reinforcement.

A: Yes. The hollow channel on the top side of the beam is perfect for concealing unsightly cabling, data wires, or small conduit pipes. This allows you to tidy up the ceiling aesthetic while simultaneously treating the room acoustics.

A: Yes. We can supply internal joiners that allow you to butt multiple 2400mm beams together seamlessly. This creates the illusion of infinite linear beams running the entire length of a corridor or open-plan office, which is a popular device for visually lengthening a room.

A: You can choose from either an independent cable kit or a bespoke V-Profile steel mounting system - This metal rail fixes to your ceiling (or suspension wires), and the felt beam simply clips or slides onto it. This ensures the beams remain perfectly straight and parallel, preventing the "snaking" or warping sometimes seen with poorer quality baffles.

A: Absolutely. We can print our high-definition PetFelt Woods textures (Oak, Walnut, Pine, etc.) onto the beams. This gives you the warmth and grandeur of a solid oak beam ceiling but with high-performance acoustic absorption and a fraction of the cost and weight.
