Frequently Asked Questions
About Acoustic Partitions
-
A: Yes, they are an excellent lightweight alternative to stud walls or glass partitions. Because they hang from the ceiling, they create instant "zones" or "rooms within rooms" without requiring construction work, planning permission, or changes to the building's airflow and HVAC systems.
-
A: While a solid panel offers maximum absorption, our patterned screens are designed to balance acoustics with aesthetics. The remaining material still absorbs sound effectively, while the cut-out patterns (lattice, geometric, or organic) help to diffuse (scatter) sound waves, preventing them from bouncing directly back across the room.
-
A: We supply a discreet sliding track system or fixed cable suspension kits. The sliding track is particularly popular for flexible spaces (like hotel ballrooms or agile offices), allowing you to slide the screens open or closed to change the privacy level of the room in seconds.
-
A: Absolutely. We have a library of standard architectural patterns, but because we use precision CNC cutting, we can cut any design you need. This includes company logos, specific geometric branding, or varying the "openness" of the pattern to control exactly how much light and visibility passes through.
-
A: This is one of their key benefits over solid partitions. By choosing a semi-open pattern (e.g., with 30-50% transparency), you can create acoustic separation and visual privacy while still allowing natural daylight to flow through the workspace, keeping the environment bright and airy.
-
A: No. A standard 2400mm x 1200mm screen weighs approximately 6-8kg, making them safe and easy to suspend from most ceiling types (concrete, plasterboard, or grid) without heavy reinforcement. This makes them ideal for retrofitting into existing offices where ceiling load limits are a concern.
