A: Yes! While the standard grid system leaves the central voids open to allow for airflow and lighting integration, we can manufacture custom PetFelt infill panels, lids, or caps. These inserts sit perfectly within the grid squares to create a continuous, closed ceiling plane. Adding these caps completely masks the exposed soffit above, provides an additional layer of sound absorption, and allows for creative colour combinations—such as placing vibrant coloured caps inside a neutral grey grid for a striking visual effect.

A: The intersecting "Lattice" structure of our grid system acts as a highly effective acoustic trap. Because sound waves travelling across the ceiling hit multiple PetFelt surfaces from various angles, the grid design drastically reduces reverberation and improves speech intelligibility, especially in busy, open-plan environments.

A: Not at all. Gridwork baffles are highly favoured by architects because they create a clean, modern drop-ceiling effect that masks unsightly ceiling voids, exposed pipes, and cabling. At the same time, the open grid allows for completely unrestricted integration with lighting fixtures, HVAC airflow, and fire sprinkler systems.

A: They are manufactured from 100% PetFelt, which contains a minimum of 75% post-consumer recycled material. This makes them a highly sustainable, eco-friendly choice for interior projects. Furthermore, the material is entirely safe, non-toxic, and free from irritating fiberglass.

A: Yes. While our gridwork systems are manufactured to your specified module dimensions, PetFelt is a highly workable material. If your installation team needs to make minor adjustments to accommodate unexpected structural columns, piping, or specific lighting drops, the material can be cut neatly on-site using a tracksaw or sharp utility knife.

A: The modular panels feature precision-cut slots that slide together seamlessly to form the grid. The entire system is then suspended from the ceiling soffit using a simple, adjustable wire cable system. Because PetFelt is incredibly lightweight, it places very minimal load on your existing ceiling structure. (Note: Suspension kits are included unless specified in our offer)
